what?
Not sure what “done” means.
But the skin issues you speak about sound like environmental allergies..or known as ATOPY. This is common in dogs as it is in people.
Search Atopy and see what you think.
Hope this helps
Addendum: Food allergies, Atopy (inhalant, ingested or smeeled allergies) cause the same signs–anything to do with the skin, feet and ears. Unable to tell them apart by looking. Very common problem and seen multiple times, every single day, in every vet office.
Prednisolone can be used for allergies. If you think that the allergen is environmental, see if bathing helps.
Otherwise, allergies encompassing ear infections have been known to be caused by food allergies. What are you feeding? What are the main ingredients?
no
i don’t feed my dog CRAP ( purina , pedigree , science diet , iams , etc )
Frequent ear infections and rashes can point to a food allergy.
The dog may also have other types of allergies.
The only other thing I can think of is a fungal infection or some other type of infection.
The vet can do a skin scraping and check for different things. If the vet hasn’t already done that then it needs to be done to rule out all kinds of things.
I don’t really know what you are talking about, since your punctuation and grammar needs some work. But, from personal experience, it’s prob an allergy to something.
well no ,my dog has not been done but yes he has a rash cant be pollen either cos it is snowing outside, nor can it be sweat rash as i have had dogs long enough to know that they do not have sweat pores like us humans, A dog sweats mostly through its tongue and scent glands so it cant be that either, I put his skin complaint down to his breeding he is a German shepherd and they have pretty sensitive skins at the best of times, i think many dog skin complaints are due to their owners constantly bathing them (a dog should be bathed perhaps at most twice yearly) and then ONLY with a dog shampoo to keep them clean the best method is brushing and if the coat is particularly dirty or smelly a good wet toweling and to help the rash i have found ground up eggshells introduced to their food helps the skin and coat greatly…. as an afterthought i think the rash could also be due to a food allergy as there are many chemicals in modern tinned and dried dog foods. as in humans these added chemicals could and do in some dogs create allergies…. hope i have helped…. latcho drom to my traveling brothers and sisters
