Home made Dog Food supplement vitamin question…my dog is allergic to Yeast, and all the dog Vits have this?
Ok, first off I hate the fact that when you ask a question you can never get all of the information in the question like you need it to be…the area is not long enough…anyway
I have a dog who has a yeast allergy and I am wanting to feed him home-made dog food. Everything that I have read says that you should supplement with a good dog vitamin…but all the vitamins that I have seen have YEAST in them, which means that vitamins are out…how can I make sure that he gets what he needs if I don’t use the vitamins? Oh, he has an allergy to Yeast, chicken, duck and peanuts.
If you are pro-pet food industry people, please don’t bother answering, because everything that I have read about how they process the food to the fact that there are dead euthanized pets(Yes, cats and dogs) in the food and to top it off that it is not safe (the pet food recall) has TOTALLY put me off of this cr*p.

Why not just feed your dog Raw. If you give him a variety of raw meaty bones each week along with some organs and some fish and egg, you do not need any supplements.
I cooked for our dogs for about a year before I finally decided to dive into raw feeding.. almost 5 years later now and still feeding raw and loving it!
I have a sample menu on my site if you are interested along with getting started page and several links.

They deal with both raw and cooked feeding.
