DS: Help with allergies?
Question by Pug?Bug: DS: Help with allergies?
My dogs allergy test results have finally came back!
He has tested as having 3 positive allergens:
One allergen is dust mites
the other 2 are a variety of storage mites, one of which was apparently extremely reactive during testing.
I have had a look on the internet for information. I can find a lot of info on dust mites as it is apparently a common canine allergen. However, I am not having too much luck with the storage mite (or ‘food storage mites’) as apparently not much is known about them. And yes I can use google before people start telling me to look on there!
My vet has said they are found within dry dog foods, cereals, cheeses etc which is pretty much all I can find on the internet.
My vet has began the process of creating a ‘desensitizer’ set of vaccinations which we will begin in around a month time and has advised me to stop feeding kibble.
I have a few questions, sorry!
- can anyone give me useful advice/website for beginners at raw feeding?
- does anyone have any first hand experience with a dog with similar/same allergies?
- has anyone had experience with vaccinating a dog against allergies, if so, did it work/help in the slightest?
Please star for your contacts.
Help, anyone, plese lol!

A website I started when I started feeding raw. Still needs a lot of work, I’m too lazy at the moment, lol. If you have any specific questions, feel free to message me.
