3 Days-2am Stranger In Yard Dog Has Bloody Poo & Cough,vet Says Allergy Dog Voimts Food We Didn’t Feed. Dead!

We understand the dog is 13 years old, Doberman Mastiff. Our best friend, truly. A young Hungarian girl, who had squeezed through a padlocked gate, came to our door, bruised and shaking, with a Hungarian English Dictionary; she said “help me.” She didn’t know anyone here; we helped her. Her divorce from this Romanian man was finalized Friday. Tuesday at 2am someone is in the yard. Our dog is acting sick, farts, Whew! Coughing, choking, sneezing, bloody stool, but the Vet says allergies. Next day the dog throws up food we didn’t feed him. Thursday morning the dog can’t walk, can’t breathe, I lay down next to my best buddy, hold him tight, and he takes his last breath in my arms. It hurts so badly. What happened in three days?

It is possible he was poisoned. I’m sorry for your loss. You can ask your vet to do a necroscopy if you want to be certain.

Sounds like poison. If youcan afford a toxicology screen on the dog, you may want to do that and present it to the woman’s divorce attorney (if she has one, anyway). If the husband is malicious and has a history of cruel acts like this, it’s very likely the judge will be able to hear about it at the final court appearance. If he did indeed poison your dog for helping a beaten woman,…wow. What a sick f*(k. Scary. Sorry for your loss.

I don’t really think its a real story, glad you were holding him tight when he took his last breath, If a Vet told you blood in the stool was an allergy sue, Hungarian English dictionary huh, I think we have discover our next Hemingway

He could of eaten salmon and got 3 Day Salmon Sickness. But sadly, no cure for it. My last dog ate lots of salmon and died of that too…Salmon is almost like death poison for dogs.

Ohh!!! I’m so sorry. I feel so bad for you. It sounds like poison, they used to put rat poison in our alleys of chicago and occasionally nasty people would put in meat and feed dogs.

Thats horrible!! Could someone have poisoned him?? You can get the vet to do an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Sounds like the dog may have been poisoned…the give away is he is throwing up food YOU didnt give him which means someone else was giving him stuff!!

the girl could have gaven your dog something becuase you didnt feed it that or she poisened it.

wow, thats a crazy story!! sounds like someone may have poisoned your dog.. poor thing, i’m sorry.

Sounds like someone poisoned your dog. Have a necropsy done to determine the cause of death. Could be the romanian man was angry because his wife came over to your house and asked for help and poisoned your dog. I do not know if this is true or not but its funny that she comes over to your house and asks for help, they are going through a divorce, and your dog mysteriously winds up dead. If your dog was indeed poisoned I would then possibly consider this a criminal matter and talk to the police. So sorry for your loss. The dog obviously meant a lot to you. You might consider having the dog cremated and buy a pet urn and have his picture decoupaged on it and keep him with you that way or consider having his ashes spread over a peaceful serene place that would give you comfort in knowing he is resting in peace. Talk to your vet and he can explain the cremation process and your options. Best Wishes.
