I have a 4 month old Maremma X Blue Heeler and have been trying to get to the bottom of her itchy skin problem. She has been treated for fleas and does not have them. We are very dilligent with treatment. I am thinking now that she most likely has a food allergy.
the skin on her belly is very pink and quite warm. She sometimes gets very frustrated and whimpers while she scratches.
She is on pro-plan puppy dry food for large breeds and gets those logs of dog meat from the fridge section at the supermarket.
Does anyone know of any ways I can test my puppy for allergies without taking her back to the vet? He just gave her antihistamines and said I had to figure out what the possible source is…
Any ideas? I’m after knowledgable sources such as vets, vet nurses or breeders. Thank you.
