I need a little help. My 4 yr old yellow lab eats Canidae all stages. I have noticed that she seems to have major itchy eyes and that it appears she has allergies (I have not had her tested, but would like to see if it is the food possiblY). I know that Canidae has changed their formula and I believe that this might be contributing to her issues. I have had to switch her food in the past.. This is what I have tried. I am looking for new suggestion and feedback on different foods that may have worked on your pet with allergies..
I have tried the following:
Nature’s Variety – Lamb & Oatmeal (This made my pooch itch worse)
Solid Gold TimberWolf – Buffalo & Salmon formula (Not to much of an improvement)
California Natural – Lamb & Rice (She absouletly will not eat this)
Any other suggestions would be most helpful!

my boxer is constantly scratching at his ears. we have epi-otic, a cleanser that the vet gave us and here we are a month later and he is still scratching to the point that he makes his earflaps bleed. we took him to a specialist and he said it was food allergies, so we put him on an expensive diet (which only helped with his flatulance problem… i would much rather him pass gas than itch till he bleeds) and still, he scratches. we are so frustrated with this because we see how bothersom it is to our pup. we are going for a third opinion this weekend and we hope that someone (hopefully a boxer breeder) will be able to help our 10 month old pup.

My dog has food allergies amoung other things that she is allergic to. I’ve switched her to a venison and rice formula about 2 or 3 months ago because its hypoallergenic. Ive been reading up on this for a while, and ive heard some suggestions about a fish formula.. could this possibly be better than the venison?? and if so, is it bad to continue switching her food?? Thanks in advance! =]
