I have 2 yr old white female pit bull terrier. She has the worst skin allergies and is extremely allergic to fleas (mostly in the summer). my vet has proscribed her Temaril-p. to stop her itching. also wanted to know if there could be any long term side affects for using the pill during the summer?
shes also proscribed to royal canin duck and potato. and eats all kinds of raw veggies and fruits.
im thinking its a flea allergy not food cause shes on a strict diet. capstars and frontline isnt enough .. is there anything else i can use besides putting her on all kinds of different meds.

I have a mini.poodle and took almost an year to potty train him outside where he shares the grass with all the neighborhood dogs, and that’s the problem,he has had fleas, allergies and a million other things that he gets from the dirty grass. So I was planning on buying a litter box, would it work? Can I built one with my own grass in it and have it my balcony so he would still get to go sort of go outside where the small grass pan is just his?Any other clever ideas?

He is an 8 mo. old Nova Scotian Duck Tolling Retriever. We have given him various flea treatments (drops between shoulder blades, flea shampoo) and are pretty sure fleas are not the problem (our other dog and cat show no signs of fleas). In some areas he has small reddish welts (not sure if these are from him biting himself or whether he has an allergy). We have started adding Omega oils to his food and given him some other vitamens and he still persists with the scratching and biting. Help? He’s driving us nuts with constant scratching and hes biting off the hair on his butt…….

My dog has constant itching and allergy problems, I do not want to keep her jacked on drugs, and was hoping to find a solution to her constant scratching and chewing, to the point of raw red skin. She does not have fleas. Visits to the vet are getting very costly and cannot continue. I’m looking for a home remedy like a cream or Olive oil?? Something obviously that would reduce the itch and discomfort and at the same time, not be harmful to her. Thanks for any help!!

we dog sat for 7 weeks and everything was ok, until the last week we had the dog. I am going crazy, I vacuumed about 4 times and sprayed twice, I don’t know if it’s just me, with other allergies or what!
