Question by mosley88: Has anyone been having recent problems with Natural Balance Duck and Potato dog food?
I gradually switched my lab to it about a month ago trying to solve some skin allergy problems. He did great on the first bag (17 lbs) so i bought a 30 lb. bag. A couple days into this bag he lost all energy and wasn’t interested in eating it at all. He just slept all day and acted ill. He even puked once. Anyone having similar issues?

my puppy has been really freaking me out.?

Question by j g: my puppy has been really freaking me out.?
she has always been a little scared of my roomate, and now she is acting nuts, my roomate kinda scared her when she was a puppy and she wont trust him at all and watches him all the time, i dont know if this is relevant to her new disturbing behavior, she has donw it 3 times now and only when she is with my boyfriend (not my roomate) she starts to run around like mad barking like i have never heard before and she doesnt stop until i put her in her cage. the last time was really bad she deficated and peeal over the place and my boyfriend tried to help her but she just kept pooping and peeing on him. her poo smells like dog food not like poop at all, we have noticed that she may have an allergy to food as she has a skin itch and bites at her but a bit, when she was a young 8 week old pup she had diahorea alot, we started her diet on a all natural holistic food , then to a grain free mostly meat dieat to a different grain free diet and now on a easy on allergy diet of rice and duck and bluberrys is basically all that is in the food, the itching has slowed but this new behavior is freaking us all out. someone help!
i dont think she is jealous of my boyfriend as he was there when we picked up the pup and has been there everytime except a handful of hour long periods of time when he hasnt been around, and she loves him more than me i think, she is always so happy to play with him and ignores me, i think she knows that i call the shots and am the real owner but this behavior isnt incouraged, i immeadiately remove the collar tell her to stop and if she doesnt in about 10 seconds i quietly pick her up and put her in her cage in our bedroom and close the door without a word and leave the room, i dont say a word to her in these situations other than enough and no and a tap on the shoulder then calmly i take her to her kennel and close tyhe door and leave her alone, after a few hours she is fine and then after about 2 or 3 days usually in the evening she pulls this stunt. i am soooooooo upset about it, her vet said health wise there is nothing wrong with her she is up to date on dewormings shots and the

Question by Lyndsey: My vet has recommened giving my dog benadryl for allergy relief, he has been on the benadryl for almost a year
and up until this point it has worked wonders for him. He has alot of skin allergies which is very common in his breed… he is a Basset Hound. I was just wondering if anyone may know of anything else I could do?? Obvisously he has just kind of became immune to the benadryl! I plan on taking him back to the vet I just wanted to see if maybe anyone had any other ideas before I did that may be less expensive b/c trust me I have paid my fair share of vet bills this month… thanks :)
I have him on Science Diet food which was recommened by his vet at Banfield….

Go raw and “allergies” will go away. Benadryl is BS and treats only symptoms not the cause.

Question by moturkeyh: my dogs have been eating canidae dog brand for years, just noticed one of my dogs constantly itching.?
There’s some dry skin around her elbow area, parts of her tail…hair is missing, just dry skin. Chewing around her paws and anal gland issues that she’s never had before. I think it’s food allergies. I don’t have lots of $ to figure out what it is exactly the problem is. Where do I start? I know the Canidae that she’s eating has the best products in it, do I go to lamb/rice combo? What other brands should I consider? If I do switch foods, what time frame should I expect to see any differences? Need advice!

try old mother hubbard… you really need to take her to the vet because she could have mange which is not related to food and is from a mite… and very bad and can spread to your other dogs.
