how can i prevent flea bite allergies?
Question by Miles: how can i prevent flea bite allergies?
I’m super allergic to flea bites, i can’t control the itching, and even when i do prevent the itching i end up scratching in the night. My ankles are THE WORST! cuts and scars and bloody. I just moved in with a friend, because my other living situation was problematic. and my friend has 2 big dogs, and like 5 cats. the house is really old. its more like a library than a house though…lots of books everywhere.
but i’ve also noticed an abundance of fleas. i’ve got bites everywhere. my skin turns a weird purple around the bites too…and im the only one in the house the fleas are bothering!!! its really really bad.
what are some things i can do to prevent the fleas, we’re using flea killer on the carpet, and i also read that wearing a flea collar around my ankle might help. i haven’t seen a doctor about it yet, but my usual allergy meds haven’t helped. and I’m allergic to almost everything. including grass, pollen, bleach, metal…etc. but i wanna be able to wear shorts and not be self conscious about the bug bites all over my legs and ankles. help?

Do Not put a flea collar on you. You will most likely react to it and it is not for use on people. You can try putting salt on the carpet. fleas don’t like salt.try putting anti-ich cream on your skin/bites. Contact your doctor, you may need medication that is stronger then what you have.
