My dog seems to get a seasonal itching and hair loss problem. It starts up in May and then stops in the fall. I really doubt it is fleas because we put Frontline on him monthly. I think the hair loss is caused from all his itching. I have taken him to the vet and he said it might be some kind of allergies to fleas, but if he doesn’t have fleas this shouldn’t be a problem. Has anyone else had this problem with their dog and found a solution? The vet gave me pills to give to my dog, but the pills didn’t seem to help enough.

My mother was bathing her 11 year old New England Sheep Dog who has a flea infestation and allergy when she noticed blood rolling off her dogs hind quarters. Shes now worried whats wrong with her dog. There is no money at all right now for a vet. She needs to know what can cause a dog to bleed with no visible wound?

They get bathed once a week or so with flea & tick shampoo. Recently I switched to a shampoo designed specifically for allergies and it hasn’t made any difference either. They are both white dogs and no fleas are visible anywhere on them. They both exhibit symptoms of ear mites and are being treated for that. They are scratching and biting their hair off in spots. I can’t afford a high vet bill and am at a loss as to what to do for them. They seem miserable. Please help!

Food allergies? Can they come from excessive use of your neck muscles combined with the above? How do you prevent earaches?

What I am talking about is allergies, the product in alot of dog food that causes more allergies, in out pets, than anything else, is it corn, meatby products, soy, etc?
