I might be getting a year old Chihuahua mix from a neighbor. 1. What is the safest and most effective flea/tick shampoo for dogs? 2. I plan to take him on daily walks, but as I have allergies and he will end up sleeping with me I would like to be able to lightly wash him before bed. So, is there a shampoo I could use on him daily? 3. What is an effective way to house train him? He is very good natured and well behaved. I’m looking specifically for a method that includes positive reinforcement. But what would be an appropriate reprimand for him if I need to use it?

It is a small rental house and the previous renter had a dog. New renters have no animals but have children with allergies and are worried about traditional flea bombs. Someone said boric acid will kill fleas and not be harmful to the family. Any other methods that will be effective for the house and yard?

There are several foods to try! If your dog has skin allergies I would make sure the food is totally grain free! Both of my dogs have skin allergies too. Now that they are on a grain free food they are doing great! Here are a few good grain free foods to try!
Taste of the wild
Solid Gold barking at the moon
EVO
Wellness core
One thing to remember with feeding a grain free food is the will only need half as much because they are not getting all the fillers like what are in IAMS.
I hope this helps!
