At first it started with two that were just like mosquito bites around the front of my ankle. But they itched a little more than mosquito bites.
One of them left a red spot (maybe because of all the scratching) that is now pretty much a scar (it’s been 3-4days now). Over the next two days there’s way more which itch like crazy and leave a red/pink spot on my right calf (1 more), right thigh (4), right butt cheek (3), left foot (2), right foot (4).
I looked up chiggers, flea bites, bed bug bites, fire ant bites, sand flea bites, allergies, hives but none of them look quite like what I have.
It’s hard to know what I have because in the past 2 weeks I have:
-been to the beach alot (3-4 times)
-been in a very grassy environment (i just started at a very nature-prominent uni ie bushes, pond, trees, lots of grass)
-looked after someone elses’ dog for 3 weeks but returned him 2 weeks ago (he scratched himself alot at the end)
-both i and my sister have it (but neither parents or her bf have it)
-occurs mostly over night but my sheets are white and i’m quite clean and can’t find any bugs in my bed
-had a flea bite before and what i’m getting are bigger than the little itchy flea bites.
They usually pop up in twos/threes in the same area and are so bad now that i’m too emabressed to wear shorts or thongs anymore. It looks like i am getting diseased legs.

I have a mini dachshund which i rescued from a neighbor who was neglecting her. When i got her at 4 months of age, she had a HUGE wound running along almost her entire back. It was raw and bleeding all the time. According to my neighbor the wound was originally very small but grew bigger daily bec she kept scratching and biting it. After spending lots of time and money on her (vet visits), the wound healed and became a big scar.
Is there a way to make the scar smaller? She has been with me for a year , and the scar is now just covering half of her back. To me she looks beautiful even with that scar. But if she isn’t wearing a shirt or anything that covers her back, she keeps scratching her scar until it gets red. She has no skin allergies, no ticks/fleas, or anything that would make it itch. I think it’s more of a habit that she does that. Do you know of a way to make the scar smaller aside from cosmetic surgery?

My dog has either come down with some kind of bad skin allergy or has fleas, because he literally can’t go about 7 or 8 seconds without turning around and biting/scratching himself. I haven’t checked for fleas yet, but he’s really itchy so I doubt if it’s a skin allergen. We can’t get him in for a fleabath until at least Monday, so is there anything we can do at home to make it more comfortable for him until we can get him in?

How To Make My Dog Eat His Dog Food?

Any tricks? We’ve been feeding him table food, and later on wet food. However, he got skin problems and allergies because of the wet food, but he refuses to eat his dog food! Any tricks? Because our dog is really stubborn.

My dog is being put a food trial to test for food allergies and the vet has put her on Hill’s Z/D canned dog food. While she is on this food trial, the only food she can consume for the next three months is the Hill’s Z/D food. I need to be able to give her treats for obedience training classes but can only give her the Z/D food. My vet said it is possible to make treats out of the food by baking it but wasn’t sure on the specifics. Has anyone else tried to do this? If so, at what temperature did you bake the canned food?
