about a month ago i came in saw a dog outside of my house and petted him, it turned out he had the mange. i washed my hands and tried to make sure that it wouldnt get on my cat. now these scabs are on his lower back, and he seems to have lost a little hair at the base of his tail. he has had fleas in the past and i think he still may have them, and i need to get him a new flea collar. it was months ago i remember seeing little bumps on his head because of fleas, so i really dont think he has the mange. i plan on taking him to the vet asap, but i just want to know what to expect.

I have two dogs, one full bred Pomeranian, and the other a mix between Pomeranian and chihuahua. I adopted my mixed dog in November. He was a rescue dog. As soon as I got him I took him to the vet, he has horrible skin. The doctor did a skin scraping to see if he had mange and it came back negative, the doctor said Fiyero (my dogs name) has skin allergies. However after months of being on allergy pills from the Vet, my dogs condition worsened and it spred to my other baby AND even my moms two Pomeranians!!!! I read online that it is possible for a dog to have mange and test negative. Now, I can take him back to the Vet, but honestly as smart as my Vet is, he seems clueless-he is now saying my dog may have fleas (MY DOG DOES NOT HAVE FLEAS-I CHECKED AND HE IS ON FRONTLINE!). These vet bills are getting expensive and don’t seem to be helping any. I’ve done my own research and heard about a cream called Nu-Stock. I’ve read good testimonials, but I’m not yet convinced. Has anyone here used it, if so, can you tell me about your experience? Thanks a bunch!

I have 6 puppies, Mother is Siberian Husky, Wolf & Black Lab & the Fathers, Red Nose Pitbull & Norweigian Elkhound. The mother had a hot spot vet said caused from a flea allergy & it tested neg. for mange but that healed & she had the puppies 9-11 & the puppies have lil tiny light red/brownish colored spots on lower belly where its bare & they scratch a lot. They are NOT losing any hair, they are still very fluffy & healthy. Do they have the flea allergy too passed from the mother or can it be something worse or what can I do help them without spending loads of money at the vet? I still need to find them loving homes (if I can tear myself away from my babies) & I don’t think many people will want a dog with an allergy to fleas, that can get hard to deal with couldn’t it? Even though they are very sweet & full of cuddles I’m afraid nobody will want the problem they might have & I wanna clear it up & hopefully keep it gone. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated… Thanks Deanna

I had taken care of so many dogs, street breeds,no pedigrees before, all had healthy coats regardless of the food they consumed but the same breeds today are very sensitive to mites and allergies.I had observed those with white coats are most vulnerable, those with mixed coat colors, the white portions seem to be the first to manifest symptoms.
