Question by DeborahUlloa: Need advice for my dogs many symptoms…pregu, allergies?
So my husband and I noticed our dog getting a little fat however today we noticed her nipples are swollen and the size of nickels. Not to mention they are saggy. That means she is pregnant right? She is an outside dog but we saw a little pug sneak in the fence about a month ago. My Lulu is a German Shepard would that even happen ew. Ok and tonight we are hangin out with her and notice she keeps pawin at her eye. Then we see that her eye is really swollen and red. Not to mention when we went to give her food she cried every time she went to open her mouth. She eventually stopped even trying to eat till we broke it all up into tiny pieces. I also read on another blog about a tooth infection spreading to the eye which seemed logical enough to be the problem. When I checked her gums and teeth they seemed fine… no swelling or redness. Any other suggestions I mean of course she needs to go to the vet, I am currently in the process of moving so money is REALLY low. Any “this could help” or “try this” recommendations? Thank you to everyone who answers this appropriately.
Ok so far I am not being told anything I dont now alreay. HOWEVER it is 1:30am and the vet will be there tomorrow, and… like I said money is low due to moving so she might have to go to the vet due to preg. but I cant put out thousands on vet bills right now. And to the second answser..lol…seriously…my dog is caught up on ALL shots and NO I will not make her an inside dog cause well I like a clean house for my 2 children. Ok still waiting on a HELPFUL answer!
TY chiwiz15 for actually attempting to give me some helpful advice. lol I dont get why people even get on here to run their mouths. Yeah I was thinking possible spider bite too. TY again for ur advice… the only given so far lol

You may want to take her to the vet and make sure she’s not pregnant and if she is get her spayed. You don’t need to be bringing more unwanted puppies into shelters. She should go to the vet for her eye and about her in pain when she ate… its serious.

Question by Mandy: My dogs seem to have skin allergy.Vets said its their food,i’ve changed many times.Anybody know e cure?
one of my dogs is a maltese, the other is a schnauzer. They didn’t have this problem when they were puppies.Seem to have surfaced when they hit adulthood….Their condition looks like what a human skin allergy—eczema. Medicine and change in diet don’t seem to work very well.

Try feeding Fish and Chips or Lamb Millet Rice formulas from Flint River. These are free of wheat, corn, chicken, by products, animal digest, dyes, sugars, and artificial preservatives that are often the cause of food sensitivities and allergies.

Both of these formulas are made to be non allergic, and are made with human grade ingredients, so more is digested, they eat less and there is less waste.

Good luck!

How Many Calories in this Dog Food?

Hi, it’s July 4th, and I brought my pups to a BBQ w/out their usual food (Nature’s Variety)

After much label reading at the local Walgreens, I came across a can of Iams wet that was suitable for my Westie w/allergies. Not the best, but hey, I eat crap sometimes, too, right! =) And of course, she loved it!! =P

I’d like to know how many calories were in that food, though. I can’t find it from a google search, does anyone have a good link with this kind of information?
