my pitt bull has allergies to beef corn and fish (mainly) she was on hills science diet large breed lamb and rice puppy chow and they made me change to natures recipe bc it had no corn beef by products etc. it has not helped at all. any suggestions. i know EVO is great but im currently unemployed and cant afford it.
Ok I am trying to get my dog so that they are not inching all the time!
I have tried several different kinds of dog food!
Everything you can buy at pet smart. I have tried!
For pet store brands I have tried
Instinct used for 6+ months
Merrick used for 1 year
Natural Balance used for the past 1or so! Sis Ok on it but still itched all the time
I also tried raw for about 2 weeks, but both dog lost soo much wait I changed back too dry food.
Wellness core- used for only 1 week one of the dog got hives from it. YES it was hives I had the vet check her out! So we know for sure she is allergic to CHICKEN!
Wellness core Fish- been using for only 11/2 weeks and both dogs are inching like crazy! The female chewed her coat off yesterday; she has been wearing the coat for a few weeks now with no issues! The male who was not too bad until a few days after changing to the fish is now itching like crazy now too!! He can’t even sit up with itching! To day at lunch the female had itch her self to bleed on her chest! I also should add neither dog is eating very well with this food. I feed the 2 times a day and they will both leave food in there bowls.
So my question is should I keep them on the wellness fish. or change to the Innova EVO Red Meat?
I know it not good to keep changing foods, but I hate it when they are like this!
Also I have had them to the vet several times! Both have been test for allergies. Not food allergies. The female just got tested for thyroid and it was low she has been on meds for only a week! the meds have helped she no longer smells YAAAA!!!!
My terrier has food allergies. I’m currently feeding him Hills perscription diet z/d ultra. The cost is $24 for an 8lb bag. I was wondering if there is another food that I can feed him that is cheaper. Not only is it expensive but its hard to find. Please help.
I have two Standard Poodles, and they both have allergies. One is allergic to wheat (but not oats or barley), and the other is allergic to turkey. Does anyone know a veterinary diet that would be ok for both of them to eat? Please do not suggest brands like Iams or Pedigree; the popular commercial brands are the worst for their allergies.
