Question by prof.VonPotato: Mom’s dog has yeast infection and needs home remedies?
My moms dog has recurring yeast infections in his ears. She wants to know if their is anything she can try out since vet bills and the meds she has been giving him are a bit expensive, we want to know our alternatives. Her dogs ears stand straight, and he IS prone to allergy infections. I was thinking that the benadryll he take for his summer allergies would be god for him to take to help his ear. (If you know anything about dogs youll know why i am saying this). Also, how do i advise her NOT to use vagisil or monostate as an alternative. Certainly you cant use these right? Its not the same bacteria. Any one ever use the half vinegar/half water solution and have it work? He recently had a food allergy that we are still in his 3 month period of toxins leaving out his body, and hair is growing back, and he is gaining weight again. I believe his infections will stop once he has gotten all the food he had an allergy to is out of his system. As i said just giving mom some advice dont be rude to me for asking. -thanks-
TEP is for ear mites, and she doesnt have the ability to oder products off the internet. hint the home remedies thing.
not sure what he was eating, but now he is eating alpo and it has helped his hair and body get back to its natural state and plus some.
He has been getting meds from the vet, but shes tired of how expensive it is. Hoping its from his diet, it should be out of his system soon. But as if now he needs something because he seems to be itching a bit again.
I need reasons why (when i tell her) to not use monostat. She seems to think its the same ingredients on the bottle of ear oitment he has been receiving from the vet
Question by soleil7372: Does anyone know how to get veterinary help for a chihuahua who needs to go to a dermatologist in Ohio?
I have a little chihuahua I took in several years ago from someone who did not want him. Recently he has developed a skin allergy, causing him to be bald from the neck down, on the inside of his legs, and now patches on his body. My vet cannot figure it out, and we have tried several medications, and taking away possible causes. Now we are told he needs to go to a “dog dermatologist.” After all the expenses we have already incurred, we are now looking at around $ 350 to $ 400, or more. This is really not an expense we are prepared for, as we already spent a bunch on our 3 cats- 1 who was diagnosed with FIV. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any organizations who will help- I have not found any we qualify for. I feel bad for my little guy, but I really need help with the cost. Any ideas would be great- and please be serious. Thanks.

Question by L S: How do I get the hubby to understand he needs to train the dogs too?
We have one Mini Eskimo, (My dog) and a Llasa Apso (His Dog) The eski is timid and shy but learns quickly and is pretty obediant. If I am trying to give the Llasa a comand, the Eski acts like I am talking to her and starts to shake and freak out when I am repetting the command to the Llasa and she isnt doing it. The Llasa is very stubborn and refuses to obey me. She just ignores me or goes over to him and he lets her lay there and do nothing all day. On walks the Llasa pulls really hard and has injured my shoulder and neck from pulling her back, and trying to teach her not to pull. The Llasa snaps at and bullys the other dog, and snaps at the hubby, kids and strangers. She has never snapped at me tho. She also eats everything in site and wants more. She is fat and has food allergies so she needs to limit how much and what she eats. The Hubby sees no need to train the dogs or disapline his dog. He keeps saying he wants to just get rid of her just to spite me when we fight about it. I dont want to give up on her, I want to train her. When she is left alone while I am trying to train the other dog she sweats, barks incessantly, and deficates in the cage. She would be put down if we gave her to the Humaine society. We are planning to have kids and he cant see why its so important to train his dog before she bites our kids. I also dont want to be 8 months pregnant and have a dog pulling me down the stairs every time I potty them.

Meg has been signed over to the RSPCA as her owner cannot afford treatment for Meg’s flea allergy. She has never been to a vet in her life so wasnt too happy at being handled as she was very scared. Poor Meg is in a lot of discomfort at the moment as she has some fur loss and a lot of soreness. She was riddled with fleas too but the treatment has cleared them. Meg has been microchipped, started vaccinations, wormed, flead and is on medication and medicated shampoo to cure her soreness, she will be bathed every other day, in no time at all she’ll be back to normal, once her skin has improved and she’s happier in herself then she can be rehomed so please log your interest in the meantime. She will be spayed when she is in better condition. Meg is a friendly girl. She travels well and is good on the lead. She is good with children, she can be fine with some dogs but over boisterous with others but generally ok. She isn’t good with cats and she will need a pet free home. How can anyone allow their pets to get in this state and suffer, the help is out there via various charities including ourselves. If people used flea treatment as a preventative on a regular basis then the animals wouldn’t suffer this way at all. Please give Meg a loving home, she would love to find out what life is like without feeling irritation and pain for once. Video Rating: 5 / 5
TWO HOLDS AND A RESCUE COMMITMENT! Bali ID#A1273595 She’s a very sweet, cute little girl. Also, forward and curious. Good with other dogs and medium to high energy. She jumps and gives lots of kisses. We think she may have flea allergies. Lastly, she comes when called and drops on her back for a belly rub!
