How often should I give my German Shepherd a bath?

If you can see my past question, I just recently got my German Shepherd out of a bad situation. He has fleas little red bumps on his back(What I’m guessing is probably bites, or allergies from the fleas.)

Anyways, I was reading around and got a bunch of different answers for this. From once every other month, to only TWO times a YEAR! I would guess you wouldn’t want to over wash any dog, especially German Shepherds, so you don’t wash away all their natural oils and dry their skin out.

He will be a Indoor/Outdoor dog once we get him all clean and rid of fleas.

Thanks in advance!

How often should I brush my German Shepherd?

Hey everyone.

I just rescued a Male German Shepherd named Zeke, he’s 7 years old. Right now, he has fleas and possible flea allergies of some sort. We’ll be getting rid of the fleas and getting him checked at a vet ASAP.

I am planning on having him indoors once the flea problem is gone, and I was wondering how often to Brush out a German Shepherd and the correct way about doing it? I’ve always had short haired dogs that didn’t need much grooming.

We’ll be bringing him to a Professional groomer, but I want to know how often/how to brush him out, so I can keep it up, and keep the hair out of the house.(Indoor dog btw) Any special brushes I should be buying?

Thanks in advance. If someone who has experience grooming dogs could reply, that would be really amazing.

My beautiful GSD has been itching and scratching herself raw on her belly and hind legs. She has lost a lot of fur and the skin underneath is red. We have seen the vet but he was no help, he said it was an infection and the heat has made it worse. We give her Revolution for flea control, she’s had 2 courses of antibiotics, steroid injections, and medicated dog shampoo baths, but nothing has really helped. She may be allergic to something, and I want to change her diet, but don’t know what is best to feed her. I don’t have the time to home cook meals for her. We are in Australia. Any ideas???
