Question by Stephanie Payne: My dog is always scratching, what should I do?
I have taken her to the vet and had an allergy test, she is allergic to potatos, pinto beans and noseeum bugs. She is on purina pro plan small dog formula and I only bath her in sensitive skin shampoo. The only thing the vet does is give her steriod shots to reduce the scratching which work but they are bad for a dogs liver when taken long term and she is more aggressive on them. I am running out of ideas, any suggestions. Thanks

If you have removed the items which were identified, the irritation should have stopped. It may be that the scratching is now learned rather than a reaction. Try a distraction that will break the behavioral chain then offer a reward when she stops.

Question by Anna: My dog has horrible gas, what should I do?
I have a pit lab mix who has been having HOrescuedgas for the past couple days, it’s so bad that we can’t let her in the same room and us, it’s nasty smelling! She is on Natural Balance fish and sweat potato dog food, she seems to be allergic to chicken and simple grains, she doesn’t get any human food and the only treats she gets are the Natural Balance fish and sweat potato treats. She lives in a clean environment and gets plenty of exercise and love.
Some background, I rescued her from a horrible situations about 4 months ago she was in really bad shape with bloody bumps and infected open sores all over her body from her horrible allergies, she got her shots and fixed when I got her, she also had horrible yeast infections in her ears which have now cleared up. When I first got her she had really bad gas from the toxins leaving her system from the bad food she had been on. But that went away within the first couple weeks.
I’ve hear mixing yogurt into her food would help, but dogs are lactose intolerant so I don’t feel comfortable doing that. Also, I’ve hear mixing rice in would help, but I thought that was just for hardening up diarrhea. Any other ideas?

Question by enthusiasm-sarcasm: What should I do? Dry nose?
I have had a dry nose since around June 1st, and I’ve used Lubriderm, Aveeno, Lanolin and Aloe Vera, I even started using Dry skin moisturizer for dogs, which includes rosemary, and aloe vera without a heep of harsh chemicals. It hasn’t gotten any better. I’ve even tried Benadryl and other allergy medications. It’s a little bit inside, on my nostrils, and under my nose. it’s always red, and I don’t know what to do. I need this to be gone before school starts, and it’s incredibly embarassing to go out in public.
Please help!!

You could try going to the doctors and ask for some cream to help it!

im thinking that i have allergies for pet dander but only for cats cause i have 2 dogs and a rabbit and im perfectly fine with them but whenever i go to see my cousin and her cats are in the way i will start tearing up ,sneezing, scratching cause i get red patches when im around them

i was at the dermatologist today cause i have that chicken skin condition i needed ot ask her if it will be ok to get a tattoo on my arm where the pimples are and she said no cause the skin will get infected and there will be one big scar on my arm
i need to get that skin prick or scratch test done cause even know when im outside my eyes are tearing cause of the trees

What you want is a pulmoniologist or a family practitioner who has patients ranging from adults to children with similar problems, asthma, allergies etc.. the first is a specialist with advance cases of these problems affecting patients.

Question by life: I just found out that I have multiple allergies, what should I do?
I am allergic to: dust mite, all kind of dust, feathers, fur of cats, dogs and sheep, demodex mite, fish food (dried), fescue (have never seen it in my life), goose-foot, timothy-grass, couch-grass, wormwood, Indian corn and hogweed.
We yet didn’t do bacterial and fungi tests, but it’s already seems like to everything! How can one survive this? It is not possible to take that many precautions!

Start taking LOCAL HONEY immediately! All these irritations will go away after awhile. Your body will work with the honey to develop immunities to all this stuff. If its in the air around you, its in the honey. Slowly, the irritants will get absorbed into your blood and become a part of your immune system. This has been proven may times. It really works.
