They both scratch more than they should but some times one more than the other. They are white dogs so you can see if they have fleas and I cut there hair short just to make sure I was not missing them. ( no fleas) I changed there food to a very good quality of food. I was told from this lady that runs this store for good food for dogs and cats that they need more meat in there diet then grains. So she said that I should use this brand that has fish one bag , chicken the next bag and buffalo the next all same name brand. It is so they get all of what they need. I took them to a vet who told me that it could be allergies. that is why I changed the food. She also told me to give them childrens benadril ( I have tryed ) I thought it might of worked not really sure.
The thing I don’t understand is if it is alergies why both of them?
So I do the flea treatment monthly
changed food
give benadril
changed shampoo to sentsitive stuff
I can’t aford to keep going to the vet and not get any answers
If any one has any other ideas I would love to hear them.
oh ya they keep getting ear infections which I was told from the vet that is was caused from the alergies.
They are both a year and they are Bichon Frise
any Ideas

Took him to SPCA but we had no money so they couldn’t look at him, however we asked one of the ladies to possibly tell us something, she said he might have a flea allergy. Would this allergy cause his hair to fall out?

My dogs, (Yorkies) are having itchy issues: biting of the paws, etc. No fleas, so it is obviously an allergy problem.
They are on a natural corn, wheat and soy-free food, and we have tried different flavors and contents. Chicken is not the issue, or tomatoes, because we tried other ingredients. Apparently the food is not the problem.
They are scheduled for a vet visit this week, and I know my vet is going to suggest I change the food to Science Diet, which I won’t, because it’s total crap-o food full of crap. So that’s not even an option.
Any ideas?

I have a Springer Spaniel who has food allergies. He can’t have anything with wheat, corn, or beef. That rules out rawhide, most bones, nylabone edibles, cow ears, bully sticks, and lots of other great stuff. We’ve tried pig ears and pig skin chips. The pig chips last about 5 minutes, and the ears last about 30 seconds. He’s such a heavy chewer. What can I give him that he won’t be allergic to that will last?

Hello,
I took my dogs to the vets today.I feed high quality/organic dog food.Anyhow one of my dogs was having minor allergies and the vet said it was because my dog was probably allergic to colors.I have to admite I once in awhile give them the treats that have colors instead of holistic treats. Is this true and has anyone else hear it?Thankyou.
