im just curious what is your favorite cat breed??? and why???
unfortunately im allergic to cats ( i dont know if its to their hair or saliva im thinking that its more to their hair cause whenever i go visit my friend i always get like red patches on my skin and my eyes start irritating me even if the cat is not their for example if im sitting on the couch and the hair is there )she has 2 4 month old kittens a stray cat gave birth to those kittens on her backyard
i had a black persian cat onlt for like few week ,my parents had to sign him over to the SPCA

is there any way to cure the allergy ??? i m thinking about going to college for veterinary technology and i know that there will be lots of cats and cat hair there

so back to the question i really like sphinx cats i think that its mostly looks they look so cute and i read that they are a high maintenance cat due to the lack of fur.hair just like some of the hairless dogs like Chinese crested or Mexican hairless

also i like the cat that is in the harry potter films not the orange persian but the big hairy one

Bengals, savannah cats or egyptian maus. They are gorgeous cats and have amazing personalities

Last year my dad brought home a beautiful 3 month old puppy from our nearby animal shelter, he’s been the highlight of my life ever since. He’s goofy and fun to play around with, and is absolutely adorable. He’s believed to be a boxer mixed with a black lab with some Great Dane in there. Oscar is a pretty big boy, and thinks hes a lapdog which i find to be soo cute! But lately hes been acting weird, scratching incessantly and squealing each time he itches himself. My parents took him to the vet about a month ago for a steroid shot to calm his allergies down, which made him very lethargic but did work for about a week. There was no scratching or whining in agony, and we all figured he was good. Then he started doing it again, which we think might have been caused by his dog food. We give him half a can of wet food (which hes never had a reaction to) and then two large cups of medium sized kibbles. Previously, hes eaten all of it (and i mean every last lick) in under two minutes, but now he simply sniffs the dry food and walks away. Our vet believes he may have an allergy to his food, yet we have never changed it since having him because he seems to like it so much. Occasionally we will switch out the wet canned food from beef to chicken or to lamb, which he seems to LOVE. After giving him a lighter diet with dry and wet food for sensitive skin, hes still itching. He looks absolutely miserable, and it breaks my heart to see him scratching in agony like he does. Just recently, hes become withdrawn and doesnt enjoy cuddling anymore and tends to lay down in really odd places. For example, he used to lay out in the foyer where everyone would see him and bend down to give him a belly rub. Now, like literally at this moment, hes laying in a very small space between our dining room table and the wall, where its dark and most likely not comfortable. Anyone out there having similar issues? I need help

You can all your vet and get a referral to a veterinary dermatologist. It may take some time and trial and error, but working with a dermatologist will help get this under control.

my dog has had bald patches on her back, she has been tested for mange, ring worm, etc.. in parasites she tested for all internal parasites and external parasites.

they have cleared up, but now ALL her fur except on her neck and face, and feet is shorter, dry and thinned out.
she has half the ampunt of fur as she used to have her fur is thin and her skin is dry and flakey.
whats wrong
she has had special shampoo, she has to be bathed in it weekly its called ‘malaseb shampoo’ she has had 2 types of tablets but not working so she hasn’t got them anymore.
she is only 4, she is a staffordshire bull terrier, white with black spots, has had allergies all her life and as normal every year she gets ‘hives’ (lumps on her body,normal for her, gets them every year in summer’ but we don’t know whats wrong she had a vet appointment and they gave us a new bottle of malaseb shampoo and carry on using it weekly.
we have been using it for about a month already, she has also have some cream for when she has the sores from the skin scraping, but this shampoo is for the dry skin but what about the fur loss?

please help, she seems not in pain and her normal self, a sleepy, but jumpy when someone comes in, LOL, been like it all her life, still like a little baby and i don’t want it to get worse.
please help

recently my 7yr old golden retriever has had a skin condition that was caused by “allergies”. he has gotten passed that and now hes starting to get a weird spots under his nose. i was hoping that someone knows what it is and we can cure it without going to the vet. thank you so much in advance. i would take him to the vet but its already cost ALOT for his “allergy problem” i am hoping that its not to serious and i can just cure it with something at petsmart. but heres a picture of what it looks like. its a little blurry but you can see the discolorationn

You’ll still need to visit a vet.

Even with a picture, a vet would still need to take a skin scraping to determine what it is.

A lot of different skin conditions and rashes can all look teh same, but after some lab work is done that can help determine what it is.

My face is always itchy. It has a bunch of red spots on it. It’s always dry. It has these weird rash things around my mouth and nose which look like torn off or dead skin. These rash spots are bad if i touch them or anything like that a bad pimple develops there. It looks bad to say the least. My face is also flaky. Could all of these symptoms be attributed to my unhealthy eating habit and lack of sun and exercise? I also have 5 dogs which usually never really get bathed often. They shed hair all throughout the house. Could it be allergies? I usually only have two meals a day, fast food in the morning and at night. Please help are these things causing my face to break out like this?
