i dont want to use a flea bomb due to my daughters severe chemical allergies. i use a flea wash for him which helps….. for a day maybe and ive tried tea tree collar. any ideas ae appreciated thanks

My dog ha sbeen scratching real bad.I think he has a allergy or fleas.

My German shepherd is allergic to fleas. We give him flea medicine and also a monthly flea pill and monthly shot, but he still itches even if there’s only one flea on him. He bites at the same spot on his back (near his tail) until the hair has started coming out.
So, I was wondering if anyone who also has a dog with flea allergies has tried hydrocortisone tablets? Did they help?
I’ve also thought about giving him prednisone, but that would only be a temporary fix, and there are way too many side effects with continued use of it.
